About

Independence Jorji, also known as Ms.Jorji or the African Princess, is a new rapper representing the DFW area. Nigerian born and raised she is capable of rapping in three languages. She graduated from  TSU (a classmate along with Megan Thee Stallion) with three engineering degrees, that she utilizes within her own music. Her presence is known when she walks on stage due to her elegant classy rich style but what captures her audience’s attention are the beats plus the satisfying lyrics in her songs. She created her own category within the Afro-trap genre. A blend of melody from the Afro-beats and the 808 drums from hip hop. Overall, Ms. Jorji has been in the music industry for about a year.

She dropped her first single called ‘Pucci’ in September 2021, which was originally intended as a reference track song for her producer Nazzi at the time. However, after receiving so much positive feedback from other producers, she decided to start her rap career as Ms. Jorji. Within a month, Ms. Jorji dropped her single, performed at several reputable clubs and strip clubs in the Dallas and Houston area, and also has been on 'Project Hustle 365' interviewed by Marc Black and the Distributor. Her song ‘Pucci’ and a few others that she has dropped have also been picked up by a few upcoming shows provided by the hit production platforms such as ABC, and HBOmax. Ms. Jorji even dropped a remix to Nicki Minaj's song 'Lookin Ass', which is doing numbers. She has a way of owning each stage she raps on but what is greater than her songs is what she is doing outside her rap career.

Prior to rapping on stage, Ms. Jorji originally is a big time business woman. Her background includes working at a fortune 10 company IBM. She also has worked with other producers such as BIGG CUZ, KEN THE MAN, and managed Nazzi as mentioned before. She was able to get Nazzi signed to 300 the label within a year. Beyond her management skills, she owns a prominent 6.7 billion dollar startup that is soon to drop. She hits the stage and performs like her professional career, she means business and gets it done right!
